Dr. Melanie Lawrence earned her medical degree from the University of Vermont and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Dartmouth College. She holds a Master's degree in Quality Healthcare Improvement from Dartmouth College and a Bachelor's degree from the University Of Massachusetts at Amherst. Before she practiced medicine, Dr. Lawrence worked in areas that revolved around her passion for the health and well being of individuals and families. She was a licensed therapeutic foster parent and ran a day care center. She taught in the secondary school human services program at Oxbow High School in Bradford, VT and was a member of the health education development team. Dr Lawrence has traveled extensively to provide humanitiarian aid in Africa, Honduras and Kosovo. She lives in Newbury on a small, riverside farm with her husband, Kevin who teaches at the Riverbend Technical Center of Oxbow High School.
Cheryl Thornton, Medical Assistant, has over 22 years of experience in the medical profession. She graduated from Blue Mountain Union High School in Wells River, VT and received an LNA certificate from the Brookside Nursing Home. Cheryl has worked with Dr. Lawrence as a medical assistant for many years.
